What is SMART Recovery?

Self-Management and Recovery Training. An international network offering free, evidence-based support for addictive behaviors. Millions of people use it worldwide.

Is this like AA or NA?

No. SMART Recovery is not 12-step and not faith-based. It uses cognitive-behavioral techniques, motivational interviewing, and self-empowerment frameworks. You don't need to identify a higher power or commit to lifelong abstinence to participate.

Is it really free?

Yes. Our workshops will be free at point of service. We fund facilitator time and materials through donors.

Is it anonymous?

Workshops follow confidentiality norms. We do not require legal names and we do not share attendance with anyone.
